I will overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly happening.
